This weekend December 29-30 is Kentucky Youth-Free weekend. Don’t forget if you are bow or crossbow hunting, you are required to wear hunter orange while hunting.

What to Bring

• Hunting license
• Deer or turkey permit
• Hunter Safety “orange” Card, if born on or after 1/1/1975
• Gun
• Ammo
• Appropriate clothing and boots
• Binoculars and other hunting accessories are, of course, optional – but feel free to bring anything that you think might add to your hunting experience.

How Many Days?

• Youth hunts & early muzzle loader are 2 day hunts
• turkey hunts are 3 day hunts
• All remaining deer hunts are for 5 days.
