Kentucky archery season

Today is Wednesday, May, 15th; it’s only 114 days to the opening of the Kentucky archery season. Time to get the bow, and start practicing for the upcoming season. Summer gets busy and the temperatures rise – there are alot distractions for us bow hunters. It’s best to shoot often and keep things sharp for opening day. Good luck!

• Hunting license
• Deer or turkey permit
• Hunter Safety “orange” Card, if born on or after 1/1/1975
• Gun
• Ammo
• Appropriate clothing and boots
• Binoculars and other hunting accessories are, of course, optional – but feel free to bring anything that you think might add to your hunting experience.

How Many Days?

• Youth hunts & early muzzle loader are 2 day hunts
• turkey hunts are 3 day hunts
• All remaining deer hunts are for 5 days.
